Can you give up 40 pence for the 40 days of Lent?
Lent is soon approaching and we are currently promoting the 40 for 40 challenge on The Trussell Trust website and social media accounts.
The challenge asks people to give up 40 pence for the 40 days of Lent, which along with Gift Aid, comes to £20. We are producing resources for those that would like to join in with the 40 for 40 challenge and raise some funds for your foodbank.
You can find social media and website assets here. The assets aren’t dated so can be used for future Lent collections and have been amended to include a new GDPR clause.
What is Lent?
Lent is the period of 40 days leading up to Easter. It begins on Ash Wednesday and is seen as a time of reflection where most people choose to give something up or try something new to mark the occasion.
